Exploitation and preparation of coal: |

Kakanj Coal Mine operates one underground
mine, Haljinići and one surface mine,
Vrtlište.
Coal is prepared by wet process using heavy
liquids and by dry sizing at Preparation
Plant.
The existing capacities in underground and
surface exploitation ensure annual
production of 1,150,000 tons. |

Total geological coal reserves in Kakanj
Coal Mine are 439.05 million tons, 246.40
million tons of which are balance reserves.
Our exploitable reserves are 173.21 million
tons of coal. |
